Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan both offer some great dive sites that are easily accessed by day boat from Padang Bai on Bali.

From July to September, you can see mola-mola (oceanic sunfish) at various spots around the islands, as well as mantas all year round.

You’ll find a variety of colorful hard and soft corals, colorful fish life, and plenty of healthy coral growth thanks to the current.

One of the most famous dive sites on the island. The big highlight at manta point is, of course, the graceful manta rays. Even snorkelers will enjoy watching giant devil fish gracefully coast below them. manta rays come here and gather around shallow cleaning stations.

Blue-spotted stingrays, octopuses, and nurse sharks can be sighted here as well. Weather, surf, wind, Current, and tide, can make this site unpredictable. It can be rough with the waves, so this site can not always be reached.

the mangrove, nusa lembongan

Is one of the great dive sites on the island, located on the north coast of Nusa Lembongan. Mangrove is usually a drift dive and the dive sites go from 5 m to 30 m.

It takes its name from a large mangrove area located in the eastern part of Lembongan.

The mangrove dive site is ideal for snorkeling but its topography makes it ideal for diving.

In these dive sites, you will find a huge range of aquatic marine life. colorful juvenile regal angelfish, yellow mask angelfish, blue ring angelfish, and cloud of Anthias are hanging out near the staghorn coral.

crystal bay

Crystal Bay consists of a large sandy area at the top with a huge mushroom coral block with a  school of glassfish underneath. Then a large field of staghorn corals and a steep slope with sponges and whip corals. Crystal Bay is part of the Ceningan Channel, so there is a strong current and it is quite cold. visibility here can be very clear.

In August and September, Mola Mola (Oceanic sunfish) are here and Crystal bay is properly one of the best dive sites for Mola Mola. These gentle giants are just amazing, so huge but moving gently with their oversized fins, holding their heads upwards, so the Bannerfish can have a go at ridding them of their parasites.

Dive sites are steep slopes covered with low growing corals and sponges. There are nearly always currents that sometimes change directions in all these dive sites – here the currents coming from the north hit the coast head on and divide, some water flowing west, some to the east side of the island. The chances are that you will see large pelagic fish such as Tunas, Barracudas, and Giant Trevallies. Mola-Mola (Oceanic Sunfish) can be sighted here in cold water conditions that occur in August-September.

The site is permanently fed by the currents flowing through the Ceningan Channel which brings all the great schools of fish and nutrition for the amazing coral formations. In addition to the beautiful reef, there are some very attractive coral formations with big coral blogs covered with Gorgonian and other soft corals, blue tooth triggerfish, sweetlips, fusiliers, jackfish, trevallies, banner fish, porcupines as well as scorpionfish, moray eels, trumpetfish, puffers and rays.
